steriotypes on teenagers

Teenagers are seen as bad people all over the world. The older generation perticulary pick on teenagers as there are some stupid teenagers that do silly things but most of them dont, but the old people think otherwise. The london riots are a prime example of teenagers being bad but they are just a small percentage of teenagers all over the world.

In EastEnders where the teenagers are there taking drugs and drinking and stuff like that. The people in Eastenders are putting a bad name to teenagers all over the world basicly saying that they are immature for there age but not all of them do like people in my class are all mature. waterloo road is another example as the kids in there are portrayed as beeing drugies and bad horrible people who attack and fight each other.

The inbeetweeners are a small group of 4 men who are still in education and they go to loads of places such as london where they get into a night club and then 45 minuts later they get sent out for supposedly playing with them selves this shows that teenagers do all this stuff in places they shouldn't. Another good film is anova hood where they take drugs alot and are racied,this shows them as bad teenagers because they do all this bad stuff. In anova hood they take the mick out of a chines boy by going ching chong chang, this puts a bad name on teenagers saying thy take drugs and are racied

In the summer holidays there was a devastation as groups of young people were looting and rioting. The riots and looting were uncalled for, i think that it was just teenagers taking advantage of free stuff, but the rioters were saying that they were rioting because of the man that got shot by police in Tottenham. There is always news of people getting injured or killed by hoodies, the media usually say that hoodies are teenagers. A consequence of the rioters looting the goods is that the shopkeepers have raised their prices trying to recoup some of the money lost during the riots. As most the people involved in the riots wore hoodies the public assume they are young males, this was not the case some were girls and adults.

My school is an all boys school, since the riots I believe locals are treating us differently because they some of the pupils may have been involved in the rioting. I know lots of kids at my school and don't know of any that were involved.

               Conclusion

I think teenagers these days have had a bad name put on them, because of  T.V shows,  films and what's been happening in the news but I think that not every teenager is like that and the few that are should be ashamed of themselves.
